About the Mindfulness Space
Mindfulness Space aims to promote the practice and benefits of mindfulness to organisations, schools and individuals.
We offer training and workshops in Sydney, Melbourne, and Canberra.
Mindfulness can be defined as "paying attention in a particular way: on purpose, in the present moment, and non-judgmentally" – Jon Kabat-Zinn.
Research* has shown that mindfulness can:
- Reduce stress, anxiety and depressive symptoms
- Improve study and work performance
- Increase resilience and self-compassion
- Enhance cognitive performance (e.g. concentration, memory and processing speed)
- Improve relationships and general wellbeing
The Mindfulness Space offers experiential mindfulness workshops in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra to organisations and schools. Our courses are typically delivered either as four one-hour workshops over a period of four weeks, or as a single, streamlined two hour workshop. We also offer one-on-one mindfulness coaching via Skype for individuals wanting a more personalised program.
The Mindfulness Space donates 5% of profits to CanTeen. CanTeen is an Australian-based charity that supports young people and their families who have been touched by cancer.
Paul Jozsef is the Director of the Mindfulness Space. Paul has been involved with mindfulness practices for over a decade. His area of interests is in how mindfulness can be applied to the modern organisational/school environment.
